Safilo Group S.p.A. wholly owns its operating company and sole business concern Safilo S.p.A. Commercial activities are carried out directly in countries where the Group is present with a subsidiary.

Safilo's distribution network is divided geographically into three areas: the Americas (North and South America), Asia and Australia, and Europe.

Each region is managed by a top executive reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, who is responsible for the overall co-ordination of the three areas.

Additionally, the Group holds minority shareholdings in a limited number of companies, such as Elegance, which owns manufacturing plants in Hong Kong.

Management

At the end of 2008 important organisational changes were announced to strengthen the management team and enhance execution of our medium to long-term strategy.

In November 2008 Roberto Vedovotto was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), returning to Safilo after two years at Lehman Brothers and Nomura. (see Roberto Vedovotto's CV)
